VIENNA, Ill. (WSIL) -- County officials have recently issued burn bans for two more counties in our area. These are Johnson County, Illinois, and Carlisle County Kentucky, which were both issued on September 5.
The burn ban is due to the elevated fire danger levels and current weather conditions.
This bans open flames, burning of trash or debris and agricultural burning.
Fire officials said burning during this time could result in fire department fees.
Other burn bans in Illinois include Harrisburg.
In western Kentucky, there are multiple counties with burn bans. They are Ballard, Graves, Fulton and Carlisle counties.
The orders will be in place until sufficient rainfall eliminates the need for the ban.
