EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — One person was injured Sunday after their vehicle flipped down a 40-foot embankment on the Garden State Parkway, the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company said.

The crash occurred at 1:20 p.m. near milepost 37.1, the department said Monday in a Facebook post. The driver, who was trapped inside, was removed and transported to an area hospital.

State Police are investigating. Members of the Farmington, Cardiff and Bargaintown volunteer fire companies responded to the crash.
