Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has fiercely hit back at Liberal colleague Alex Hawke, continuing an internal row which erupted following her controversial comments on Indian migrants.

Senator Price's remarks, made last Wednesday, sparked criticism from within the Coalition, with the Senator having made an inference over the voting patterns of Australia’s Indian community.

Mr Hawke called Senator Price's office and talked to a staffer following the comments and the Senator has claimed her colleague was abusive during the interaction.

Senator Price has now admitted her “regret” over the remarks, while also doubling down on her claims Mr Hawke “berated” her staffer.
