DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - What we now call Lake Superior College has gone through several names and several locations over the last eighty years.

As World War Two veterans began trickling home in September, 1945, the new Duluth Technical College was ready to prepare them for postwar jobs.

“To graduate with some skill sets that are needed.” said Kate Rolfe.

Kate Rolfe of the LSC library has been using her skill set to document 80 years of school history.

Her research found that DTC spent its first years in two Duluth high school buildings.

In 1950, it would move to the old Salter School on London Road for 18 years.

“The Salter School was insufficient for all the programs on London Road so they created this main campus on Trinity Road in 1968.” said LSC Vice President David K
