BARRY TOWNSHIP, Minn. (Northern News Now) - An Askov man died in a car crash Monday night in Pine County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened near Barry township around 10:30 p.m.

The driver, 35-year-old Benjamin Cervenka of Askov, was traveling northbound on I-35 when he went into the median and hit a tree.

The car came to a stop near milepost 186.

Officials say road conditions were dry at the time and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
