LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant two-story apartment early

The fire broke out around 5:40 a.m. at a vacant residential apartment in the 300 block of South 41st Street.

Flames were visible from the second story of the structure as crews arrived.

Multiple hand lines were deployed to extinguish the fire, which was successfully brought under control by 6:01am with 32 firefighters on scene.

The fire was confined to the building of origin, preventing further damage to surrounding properties.

No injuries were reported, and the structure was confirmed to be vacant.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
