KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — After continued negotiations, an agreement has been reached between Summit Medical Group and BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

In July, Summit told 6 News that they sent a formal notice of non-renewal to BCBST as they worked to reach an agreement for an updated contract. In August, Summit said that a new long-term network agreement had been reached for Blue Network PSM, Blue Network SSM, and Medicare Advantage plans. Under this agreement, access to Summit providers and clinics will be uninterrupted to members covered through BlueCross plans.
