Premier David Eby’s approval rating has dropped to its lowest level since he became B.C.’s leader, according to new data from the Angus Reid Institute.

The poll, released Tuesday, shows 41 per cent of British Columbians approve of Eby’s performance — down five points since June and 12 points since March. It marks the second consecutive quarterly decline for the premier.

Eby’s government is facing several high-profile challenges including the ongoing strike by the B.C. General Employees’ Union (BCGEU), a growing provincial deficit and controversy over recent decisions related to Indigenous land rights.
