A series of earthquakes struck more than 100 miles off the Southern Oregon coast on Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

The first and largest, at 5.8 magnitude, hit at 9:08 p.m., about 102 miles from Port Orford, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

Six more earthquakes, with magnitudes ranging from 4.9 to 2.7, hit the surrounding 13-mile area in the ocean after the first quake. The last temblor happened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, according to U.S. Geological Survey data.

None of the earthquakes caused any damage, and officials aren’t expecting them to cause a tsunami.
