The National Weather Service issued an updated report at 3:33 p.m. on Tuesday for strong thunderstorms until 4 p.m. for Clackamas County Cascade Foothills, North Oregon Cascades and Cascades of Marion and Linn counties.

The storms could bring marble-sized hail (0.5 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.

"At 3:32 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm 9 miles east of Bagby Hot Springs, or 16 miles northeast of Detroit, moving north at 10 mph," comments the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible."

According to the weather service, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles
