NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans voters will go to the polls this fall to elect a new mayor and decide on several key races, including sheriff, assessor, criminal court clerk, and City Council seats. In the council races, voters will select three members: two at-large and one from their district.

The municipal primary election is set for Oct. 11. Any candidate who gets more than 50% of the vote will win outright; others will move on to a runoff on Nov. 15.
