Harjit Mavi, a program manager in the territorial Department of Highways and Public Works is building towards becoming the Yukon Liberal Party candidate for Porter Creek South.
Mavi announced in a press release on Sept. 9 that he is seeking the party’s nomination in hopes of becoming the member of the Yukon Legislative Assembly for the riding.
He works in information and technology services in the service innovation and support branch of the Yukon government, according to the employee directory.
Mavi sees a future where “fairness, respect and opportunity for all” are valued. He wants to stand up for values such as respect and inclusion, according to the release.
