On a continent-spanning journey, Klaus Lüttgen towed an increasing number of hopeful messages behind his bicycle. Near the end of his journey, while in Whitehorse, he reflected on the trek by bike, train and boat, and the message he hopes it will send to the world.

Lüttgen, who hails from Germany, arrived in Cape Spear, Newfoundland in April and started to ride his bicycle west. His final destination was set for Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean, more than 9,000 kilometres of road away.

Prior to the trip he commissioned an egg-shaped trailer adorned with artwork to transport his belongings and act as a conversation piece.
