LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - LCC’s Nate Carmody has been named the NJCAA Division II Cross Country Runner of the Week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, presented by M-F Athletic.

Carmody was the leading JUCO runner at the Jeff Drenth Memorial for the second straight year. For 2025, he finished three places higher at 12th than he did last year and was 26.8 seconds faster at 15:05.7 as the Stars are running for a third-straight national title.

He hopes to be racing when championship season arrives this year since his individual campaign for 2024 ended mid-September.

This is the sixth time that a male athlete from LCC has been named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week for Cross Country.
