EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon has gotten used to making history in the Big Ten. Last fall, the Ducks ran the table in conference play during their debut season and claimed the league title. Now ranked No. 4 in the country, they’ll open their second Big Ten campaign with another first: a 9 a.m. kickoff on West Coast time.
The Ducks face Northwestern on Saturday in Evanston, Illinois, with an 11 a.m. local start (9 a.m. PT) on FOX. While the matchup is just the second ever between the programs, and the first since 1974, the storyline this week has centered less on history and more on physiology: Oregon’s internal body clock.
