A family is now speaking out after a Tuesday early morning bus crash in Walker County. The crash injured 10 students, sending several to area hospitals. UPDATE: Ten students injured, bus driver cited in Walker Co. school bus crash

6th grader, Kholby McGill, was released from a hospital just before noon, Tuesday. McGill is only suffering backpain and aches from the crash.

The student tells Local 3 News he witnessed multiple students tossed in the air during the impact and recalls the moments leading up to the crash.

“We saw a car coming by the corner on Cook Rd. He was going pretty fast. I guess the bus driver tried to swerve away from him,” Mcgill shared. “…and then she just ran off the ditch, hit a tree. Think she took down about 10 trees before she stopped," he tells Local 3 News.
