ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Great American Duck Races continued at the New Mexico State Fair. Visitors at the fair release one of the world's fastest mallards when the horn blows, and the first one to the finish line wins.

KRQE News 13 spoke to one winner who said these are memories they will keep forever. "We saw the duck races on the skyline, we came over here because we like animals and I saw they were taking volunteers so I ask him to raise his hands, he was chosen and it was great because its a free experience, it didn't cost us anything and we got to handle some ducks it was very new and exciting," said Alex Twibell.

The ducks have been featured on The Tonight Show, Wall Street Journal, and People Magazine. If you want to catch the ducks races, they will be all week at 10:30 a.m
