A road in Plymouth has been closed in both directions due to a refuse fire this afternoon (Wednesday, September 10). The incident, on Honicknowle Green, has closed the road between Chard Barton and Guy Moles Way.

Plymouth Highways said that Plymouth City Council closed the road and that the clean up is underway and further updates are to come. Traffic monitoring site Inrix said the fire service is at the scene.

Inrix said: "Honicknowle Green in both directions closed due to fire services activity from Chard Barton to Guy Miles Way. Traffic is coping well."
