The resolution aimed to guarantee Dauphin County resources and personnel are not used to support federal immigration operations; however, the resolution did not pass in a 2-1 vote.

Commissioner Justin Douglas, who recently announced his campaign to represent Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District, was the only commissioner to vote yes to the resolution. Commissioners George Hartwick and Mike Pries both voted against the measure.
