Scores of floral tributes and touching messages have been placed at a school as heartbroken staff, pupils, and parents mourn the loss of a much-loved teacher.
Rita Brobbey, who taught at Thames View Primary School in Rainham , was found dead in her home on Monday (September 8).
The respected Year 5 teacher, who was originally from Ghana, had worked at the school since September 2019.
Concerned colleagues went to the 45-year-old’s home on Monday, after she did not turn up for work and failed to call in sick.
Her next of kin were then informed of her passing.
The school, in Bloors Lane, was closed yesterday as a mark of respect after the shock news of Miss Brobbey’s passing emerged.
