FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Turning Point USA's Arkansas chapter and state lawmakers react to the news of the shooting of Charlie Kirk.
Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was shot while speaking at an event at a Utah college, Turning Point, the organization he co-founded, confirmed to the Associated Press.
"Please keep Charlie Kirk, his family, and all the Turning Point USA members in your prayers," said Turning Point USA's Arkansas chapter.
Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR), Sen. John Boozman (R-AR), Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin and Arkansas Secretary of State Cole Jester all gave statements on social media regarding the shooting. They all say they are praying for him and his family.
"Praying for our friend Charlie Kirk," said Sanders.
