BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS : We are seeing severe drought conditions over parts of the state, and the abnormally dry conditions will continue to expand. We will have a clearing sky tonight, with a great opportunity to spot the Space Station for a five-minute flyover at 8:44 p.m., look to the west; lows tonight will be in the 60s. Plan for another hot afternoon on Thursday, with highs closer to 90º. Forecast guidance continues to show a very small chance of an isolated shower dropping in from the north on Thursday night. There’s no guarantee, but we will continue to mention a small 20% chance of a late shower. Otherwise, more dry weather.
