ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa (KTIV) - Following Oktoberfest festivities, the Spirit Lake Noon Kiwanis club will drop one-thousand rubber ducks into West Lake Okoboji.

It is all part of their annual Duck Derby.

The fundraiser helps the group give back to children and families in Dickinson County.

You can buy one duck for $10, or three for $25.

The ducks will race back to shore, and the winner will take home the one-thousand-dollar grand prize.

“Each year our club gives around if not more than 30-thousand dollars back to programs and projects in the county. And that’s anything from the backpack food program, buying coats for kids in need, helping fund bunk beds for kids who don’t have beds. Any way we can make an impact for families and individuals that are in need in the county.”
