For decades, Jim Fiddick has led his trail riding club, the Backcountry Horsemen, through the rough terrain of central Vancouver Island, with his faithful horse Max along for the ride.
“It’s a stress-free environment is the main thing. You get to sit out here, relax and enjoy the wilderness,” said Finnick.
Now Fiddick’s leaning on Max more than ever, as the Nanaimo man battles cancer.
“My colon cancer, progressed into my liver and both lungs,” Fiddick told CHEK News.
