LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Southeast is off to a surprising 7-1 start early in the high school volleyball season. The Knights rank among the Class A leaders in the NSAA Point Standings with each victory coming against an in-state opponent. LSE won just ten matches a season ago.

Second-year head coach Abby Fox credits the turnaround to hard work and team chemistry. Each Monday, the squad chooses a theme word for the week. Other off-court experiences have helped bring the team closer together, according to Fox.

LSE’s leading attacker is sophomore Haley Bauer who has 88 kills. Circe Tallman is the Knights’ libero as a freshman.

Lincoln Southeast travels to the Kearney Invitational this weekend.
