RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Victor Armando Escobar will face up to 25 years in prison after being found guilty of driving under the influence with a prior felony and possession of a controlled substance, according to a Wednesday, Sept. 10, Washoe County District Attorney’s Office news release.

“Escobar’s repeated DUIs make him a clear and ongoing threat to the safety of every driver and family in Washoe County,” said District Attorney Chris Hicks. “His pattern of reckless behavior warrants nothing less than the maximum sentence.”

This is Escobar’s fourth felony DUI and fifth lifetime DUI, the post said.

Deputy District Attorney Widad Sairafe prosecuted Escobar and will pursue a habitual enhancement at sentencing on Oct. 21.
