LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - In remembrance of the sacrifices made 24 years ago by first responders on September 11th, 2001, Workout Anytime gym in Lynchburg is hosting its Memorial Stair Climb all day Thursday.
Community members and local first responders will strive for a goal of 2,071 steps – roughly 110 flights of stairs – representing the number of floors in the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers. Regional Manager, Lauren Clark, said it’s always a powerful day seeing firefighters participate in full turnout gear and watch the community honor the brave men and women who gave their lives that day.
