WAITSFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont police say a reported theft led them to hundreds of stolen items, and now they’re trying to track down the rightful owners.
A Waitsfield woman told troopers last month that her housekeeper, Kailah Doyle, 37, of Hancock, had stolen things from her and was selling them online.
Police searched Doyle’s home, where they say they found several hundred pieces of stolen property.
Doyle was cited for embezzlement and grand larceny. She’s due in court on Sept. 25.
Now, investigators want to return the items to the owners. Anyone who employed Doyle and believes they had property taken is asked to call the state police in Berlin at 802-229-9191. Troopers say you should be prepared to describe your items.
