SCRANTON, Pa. — Last week, we featured Augusta and Tallahassee on 16 To The Rescue. The bonded pair is up for adoption at PetSmart in Dickson City. The girls were rescued by Animal Care Associates, just one of the foster-based cat rescues in our area benefiting from the 5th annual Paws in the Park fundraiser this weekend.

"The goal of this event when we started was to really support smaller foster-based rescues that don't have a building and a space to do fundraisers. So this is a fundraising event, but you're actually donating towards six groups, including us," said Katrina Organ, St. Cats and Dogs of Nay Aug Zoo.

St. Cats and Dogs of Nay Aug Zoo is hosting the event at the park in Scranton, and all of the proceeds will be split evenly between the six rescues, including Animal Care
