PORTLAND, Ore. — The season of Oktoberfest is here. It's time to grab the steins, pull out the lederhosen and seek out tasty brats and pretzels in a span of festivals coming to the Portland metro area.
This year's favorites include a cluster of fan favorites, but notably missing is the Portland Oktoberfest at Pioneer Courthouse Square. With lots of Oktoberfest events happening throughout the Portland metro, organizers opted to not host an event this year, The Square told KGW. It's unclear if the event will be returning for future years.
As one of the largest folk festivals in the Northwest, the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest offers a wide spread of festivities for all ages with wiener dog races, arts and crafts and beer gardens galore. Most of the festival is free, but wristbands are required
