NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been arrested and charged in connection to an early morning hit-and-run crash, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of an injured pedestrian on 4th Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard at around 3:20 a.m. on Thursday.

Further investigation into the incident showed that a blue Honda CR-V hit 28-year-old Nicholas Leonhardt, of Charlotte, North Carolina, while he was crossing 4th Avenue outside of the crosswalk. The Honda then fled the scene.

Leonhardt was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries, MNPD said.
