WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - An Irish delegation is visiting western Massachusetts this week to celebrate and strengthen the longstanding connections between Irish cities and the Pioneer Valley.

The delegation includes representatives from several Irish cities, highlighting the sister city relationships between West Springfield and Dingle, as well as Springfield and Tralee. These partnerships aim to foster cultural and economic exchanges.

"There are a lot of family members here. Friends and family, that's a huge reason people travel, and we want to encourage that," said Mary Kay Wydra, President of Explore Western Mass.
