President Donald Trump on Fox News Thursday morning said "with a high degree of certainty" that the suspected shooter of conservative activist Charlie Kirk is in custody.

The president said someone identified the suspect through these photos from the FBI and then people close to the suspect convinced that person to turn themselves in. Advertisement

The FBI released surveillance video overnight of the suspect climbing down a roof at Utah Valley University after the shooting. Police said they found a gun in the woods they believe was used to kill Kirk.

The weapon and ammunition are being analyzed by law enforcement at a federal lab.
