BATON ROUGE – If LSU football is going to beat its rival Florida Saturday night, it's going to have to do without one of its best players.

LSU junior linebacker Whit Weeks was called for targeting on LSU's first defensive drive of the game. The flag was thrown on a play where Florida receiver Vernell Brown caught a screen, began making his way up field and Weeks' helmet made contact with Brown's helmet.

Targeting was the call on the field and after officials reviewed the play, they upheld the penalty. After the call, Florida went down and made a 45-yard field goal from Trey Smack to give the Gators an early 3-0 lead in the opening period. STREAM LSU VS FLORIDA
