British boxer Amir Khan has paid tribute to fellow star Ricky Hatton after news of his tragic death emerged.

Former world boxing champion Hatton, 46, was found dead at his home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, on Sunday, September 14.

Khan - another former world champion - has since paid tribute to his friend.

He described Hatton as a 'mentor, warrior and one of Britain’s greatest boxers'.

Hatton had been open over the years about his struggles with his mental health and addiction.

It has not been confirmed how Hatton died but police said they are not treating his death as suspicious.
