Tributes have poured in since the tragic news emerged that boxing great Ricky Hatton died at the age of 46.

Among those paying tribute were fellow British boxers Amir Khan and Tyson Fury, along with Hatton's former promoter Frank Warren.

Hatton's beloved club Manchester City said they were 'devastated', describing the sportsman as one of their 'most loved and revered supporters'.

Now, it has been confirmed that both boxers and footballers will pay tribute to Hatton today (Sunday, September 14).

Organisers at the World Boxing Championships, in Liverpool, said they will honour him midway through the final session, with an announcement and the traditional '10 bells' salute.

The championships have been taking place at the M&S Bank Arena since September 4.
