NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Hundreds of bikers rumbled into North Charleston Sunday for the 5th Annual Memorial Ride, an event honoring lives lost during the September 11th terrorist attacks while spreading a message of unity and prevention.
Nearly 500 bikers from across the Lowcountry and beyond joined the ride, which began with fewer than 200 motorcycles at its inaugural event five years ago.
“This is the fifth annual ride and it has grown expeditiously,” said organizer Gary “G-Man” Goldman.
The Harley Davidson lot was filled with food vendors, live music, and community pride. Charleston County sheriff’s deputies also connected with attendees, as flags waved high in gratitude for service and sacrifice.
