ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – The Law Enforcement Neighborhood Support (LENS) Foundation Isle of Palms will present Monday a large donation to Sullivan’s Island Elementary School.

The $15,000 grant, which marks the nonprofit’s largest donation to date, will support the school’s fundraising initiatives, including plans for a new aquarium that will enhance student learning opportunities.

Leaders with the foundation said the school has been a valued partner of the program and often hosts community events like the Boating and Water Safety Program and the annual Bicycle Rodeo, both of which are designed to promote safety and good citizenship among children.

“This donation is truly an investment in the future of our community,” said Ted Kinghorn, Director of the LENS Foundation Isle of Palms.
