Motorists using supermarket car parks have been cautioned about their parking practices at the stores. Specialists have highlighted three reasons why drivers should consistently reverse into parking spaces.
Studies carried out by training professionals at Nottingham University show that one in five road traffic accidents take place in car parks. Although this statistic includes all car parks, previous research by Which? demonstrated that cars are twice as likely to be damaged in supermarket car parks compared with those in shopping centres, reports the Daily Record .
