SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Officers in Summerville have arrested two individuals in connection with the shooting of a 3-year-old that happened at the beginning of September.
Jamarris Benjamin is charged with three counts of unlawful conduct towards a child, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime.
Yazmin Payne is charged with three counts of unlawful conduct towards a child and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Police were called to the Lake Pointe Apartments on Monday, Sept.1, for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a 3-year-old had been shot. The child was rushed to the hospital, where they remain in critical condition, according to the Summerville Police
