A coastal low off of our coast slides inland early today, delivering gusty winds, soaking rain for a few spots, and coastal flooding. Plan for 0.50″–2″ of rain with isolated 3–4″ where bands remain parked—most likely north of US-70/US-264. A Flood Watch covers most of ENC through late Tuesday afternoon.

Winds will be strong along the coast, especially the Outer Banks with 45–60 mph gusts before easing to a westerly 20–30 mph Tuesday afternoon. A brief spin-up waterspout is possible from Ocracoke/Hatteras to mainland Hyde/Dare and Tyrrell through Tuesday morning.
