DULUTH — Mid-September is not traditionally considered a party season, but try telling that to Bert Kreischer and Ursa Minor Brewing.

The B-52s, Andrew W.K., Bert Kreischer: all gained notoriety as party animals, all to some extent moved beyond that identity. Only one of them, however, is coming to Duluth this week.

That would be Kreischer, who has built a career on being the kind of guy you might hang out with if he weren't way too funny and marketable to spend Saturday night at the poker table in your garage. He's bringing his Permission to Party stand-up comedy tour to Amsoil Arena on Sunday, Sept. 21. Expect self-deprecating anecdotes about fatherhood, middle age and other relatable topics (decc.org).
