SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A sheep dedicated to Santa Rita Elementary School is set to be revealed soon.

The sheep, named Viola, will be a celebration of the efforts of the students, community and alumni of the school, according to the press release.

The groups thanked in the press release are as follows: • Santa Rita Elementary students • Santa Rita’s Journalism Club • Maddie Deremo’s decorating contest & fundraising • Alumna Ashley Perales, Pop of Color, painted the winning design • Larry Blasingame, Concho Valley Brick and Stone - donated the rock base • Supported by Downtown San Angelo, Inc.

The ceremony will take place on September 23 at the school at 5:15 p.m. Santa Rita Elementary is located at 615 S. Madison.
