KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A crash which led to a fire on I-40 W near Farragut closed the interstate for hours Thursday morning, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Mark Nagi.
The crash happened on around midnight and closed all westbound lanes at the 372 mile marker. The interstate wasn’t fully reopened until closer to 5:45 a.m., Nagi said.
Pictures from Nagi showed burned out vehicles and trucks hours after the crash happened.
At this time, there are no word on whether or not anyone was hurt or killed.
