HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. — Two people are in the hospital, one with serious injuries and the other with minor injuries, after a crash involving a school bus Wednesday afternoon in Hardin County.

At about 12:30 p.m., officers responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Patriot Parkway and Rineyville Big Springs Road (KY 220), according to a Hardin County Sheriff's Office social media post.

The accident involved a passenger car and a Hardin County school bus. No students were on board at the time of the collision; only the driver and bus monitor were present.

Investigators believe the passenger car was traveling south on Patriot Parkway when the driver ran the traffic light and struck the school bus, which was traveling east on Rineyville Big Springs Road.
