LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An 18-year-old from North Carolina was arrested last week for making threats of violence against the University of Louisville, located in Kentucky.

On Sept. 12, the Louisville Metro Police Department sent a request for assistance to Davie County Sheriff's Office in Mocksville, N.C after UofL received threats of mass violence, according to a social media post by the sheriff's department.

UofL officials told WHAS11 the threat was related to graphic posters about the killing of Charlie Kirk that had been placed on campus.

Investigators discovered the threats originated in Davie County at an address on Bingham and Parks roads. Deputies arrived on scene and determined that one person was responsible for the threats.
