CHESTERLAND, Ohio -- When Northeast Ohio is between seasons—before the snow sets in and after the heat breaks—it’s the perfect time to get outside and explore. That’s when I started working through AllTrails’ list of Best Dog-Friendly Trails in Cleveland , with Sebastian as my loyal trail companion .

AllTrails lists the hike as “Moderate” and 2.3 miles long. Unfortunately I forgot to hit “start” on my AllTrails activity, so I don’t know how far we actually hiked, but it was just about one hour.

Our first stop was the Orchard Hills via McIntosh Loop Trail , a 2.3-mile path tucked inside Geauga Park District’s Orchard Hills Park.
