A third person in Allegheny County has been confirmed to have West Nile virus, the Allegheny County Health Department announced Thursday.

Health officials said the individual lives in the Munhall area and has not been hospitalized. The person did not report any recent travel outside of Allegheny County before they became ill, according to the release. No further information about the individual was provided for privacy reasons.

ACHD will conduct additional surveillance and an investigation in the Munhall and Homestead area during the week of Sept. 22, the department said.
