Mid-South Food Bank, Kroger fight hunger with food drive

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Mid-South Food Bank, Kroger, and first responders are helping fight hunger in the Mid-South.

They’re all teaming up for a food drive at the Kroger in the 3400 block of Poplar Plaza.

The following is a list of the most needed items by Mid-South Food Bank: • Canned Meat • Canned Soup • Canned Fruit • Canned Vegetables • Dry or Canned Pasta

When people enter this Kroger, they’ll receive a flyer, which lists some of the much-needed food items like peanut butter and canned meat, and donate them to the Mid-South Bank.

With higher prices and increased food demand, organizers say this event will be a big help.

The Mid-South Food Bank helps feed hundreds and thousands of families in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.
