The Missouri General Assembly approved a new congressional map likely to increase Republican representation in Washington, D.C. But now a lawsuit claims it puts some people in two districts. Gov. Mike Kehoe defends the map, saying it’s just two separate areas with a name.
When looking through House Bill 1, the bill that outlines Missouri’s new congressional district, the name VTD KC 811 appears under both Congressional District 4 and Congressional District 5. This has prompted confusion and even a lawsuit.
